The Company
Reach International is working with this Global Accountancy firm to appoint a Risk Consulting Senior Manager with extensive experience of the Insurance industry, to its Bermuda office.
The Role
- Managing a diverse portfolio of risk advisory engagements across an insurance industry focused client base
- Undertaking governance, risk and compliance services
- IPO readiness reviews
- Implementation and maintenance of SOX compliance programme
- Internal audit and controls-based work
The Candidate
- An accounting and / or auditing qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent or CIA) is required plus experience in external or internal auditing of the insurance industry
- A minimum of five years of experience with a strong background in public practice, or within the risk management, internal audit or compliance functions of an insurance company, or as a consultant
- An in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry and related regulatory environment
- Understanding of Solvency II and / or equivalent regulatory regimes
- Experience in designing a risk-based control framework and in both design and effectiveness testing of controls
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley or financial reporting processes and controls within a larger private company
- Knowledge of and experience with SOC reporting (ISAE3401/SSAE 16)
